Fairisle Fair

Will Young

Fairisle knitwear conjures up images of long weekend walks and lazy cooked breakfasts. Although you might remember this trend from your childhood years and thus might be longing to erase all memory of it, don’t write it off just yet. Fairisle knitwear this season is the perfect nostalgic antidote to the harsh modern tailoring that paraded down the catwalk. Will Young (pictured above) wears his retro fairisle jumper with a black leather jacket, giving the yuletide classic and more urban edge. To get into the festive season, take a look at Lyle and Scott’s navy fairisle sweater.
